WHY
The traditional textile industry is responsible for more than 10% of global CO₂ emissions, consumes large amounts of natural resources and generates waste that takes centuries to degrade.
Every second, a lorry full of clothes is buried or incinerated. Most synthetic fabrics come from virgin plastics, and less than 1% of discarded garments are recycled to make new ones.
The current model is not sustainable. It is time to rethink how we produce, consume and reuse textile materials.
